Mount Zion Farm – Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before purchasing any products from Mount Zion Farm. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by the Terms outlined below.
1. General Information
1.1 Mount Zion Farm specializes in the sale of meat, eggs, and live chickens.
1.2 All transactions are subject to the following Terms and Conditions, which may be updated periodically without notice.
2. Product Information
2.1 All products are described to the best of our ability and knowledge. Variations in size, weight, and color may occur as many of our products are natural and/or live.
2.2 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they are aware of local regulations regarding the transportation, keeping, or slaughtering of live animals.
3. Orders & Payment
3.1 Orders are accepted via our online platform, telephone or order directly at one of our distribution hubs
3.2 Full payment is required at the time of placing the order. Orders will only be processed once payment reflects in oir account.
3.3 Prices are listed in Rand and are subject to change without prior notice.
4. Packaging & Handling
4.1 All meat and perishable products are packaged securely in insulated containers to maintain temperature during transit.
4.2 Live chickens are handled with utmost care to ensure their health and safety during transportation to our depot.
5. Delivery & Collection
5.1 Live Chickens:
* Delivery of live chickens must be arranged by the customer.
* Mount Zion Farm ensures live chickens are healthy and safe upon arrival at our Mossel Bay depot.
* Once collected, full responsibility for the well-being and transport of the chickens lies with the customer.
5.2 Meat and Eggs:
* Courier of meat and egg products is solely the customer’s responsibility.
* Mount Zion Farm cannot guarantee the condition of goods upon arrival.
* We ensure all products are fresh and packages are secure and suitable for shipping at the point of dispatch.
5.3 Insurance:
* It is strongly recommended that customers purchase shipping insurance, especially for perishable items such as frozen poultry, to cover potential delays in transit.
6. Return & Refund Policy
6.1 All products are non-refundable. This includes meat, eggs, and live animals.
6.2 If a product arrives with a defect or damage, customers must report the issue within 24 hours of delivery or collection, with supporting photographic evidence.
6.3 Upon receiving a complaint, Mount Zion Farm will conduct a full investigation. If it is determined that the fault lies with us, a full refund or suitable replacement will be provided.
6.4 Refunds will not be issued for issues arising from:
* Courier delays or mishandling
* Incorrect handling or storage by the customer
* Customer-arranged transport failures
7. Animal Welfare
7.1 All live chickens are raised and handled in accordance with applicable animal welfare regulations and ethical practices.
7.2 We do not take responsibility for any illness, injury, or death of live chickens after they leave our Mossel Bay depot.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 Mount Zion Farm shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of any products purchased.
8.2 Customers assume all responsibility for proper handling, storage, and use of purchased goods.
9. Force Majeure
9.1 Mount Zion Farm shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, pandemics, government restrictions, natural disasters, or transportation issues.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
10.2 Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation or arbitration before legal action is pursued.
